Default this weekend

I was supposed to go up mt adams this weekend but it just didn't work out so I thought I would go fish one day. question is, what rivers or streams should I hit. I thought about the oak fork, north santiam, or one of the coastal rivers. what are your guys' thoughts on where I should go? Also what patterns and flies are working lately? smaller hike in lakes are an option too since my boat is being fixed currently.
any input would be appreciated

Mike

I'M going to go cruise the Sound from beach to beach looking for staging pinks...then I'm going to use my 3wt and giggle like an idiot from the experience. It's like a flood of REALLY annoyed coho jacks on stupid pills^_^.

Some people say it gets boring...not if every fish feels like it's gonna break your rod. O_o

Don't use the sage though lol

Given the stinkin' heat, the only place I would recommend is the Oak Fork, since it's a perennially cool tailwater.
