Default The bad part about West Texas...

I went through two of these my first year at college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. These do wonders for the paint job on your car!! This was in Midland, TX just recently:

Cool Texan,

I lived in Big Spring when I was a little guy. I loved when one of those would blow in and then start raining. Nothing like raining mud.

Great pic.

Hey now, being Texans, we are proud of all parts of the state.

Just picture your self on Lake Spence clutching your dad's fishing pole with a new Ambassador 5000 trolling for a nice Striper. Or walking along the edge of a cotton field watching the dogs work the fence line looking for Mr. Bob. Maybe spending a lazy day at Lake Thomas drifting for big old catfish.

Cool Texan, if you don't watch out, I am going to report you to state and they will be force to revoke your moniker.

I grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Tech. Don't miss the dust or the hail storms at all!

Birdnest, I've been on Lake Spence more times than I can count. Usually just water skiing though...and jumping off the 50' cliffs during lunch breaks. Then on the drive home to Midland, stopping to check out/catch the tarantulas!

I know what happened. He kept trying to talk to those hottie Texas gals and they wouldn't give him the time of day. Sorry, maybe next time.

Lived in San Angelo for an 8 month sentence at Goodfellow AFB. I really enjoyed fishing at Nasworthy (nastyworthy). Plus, the heat lightning was phenomenal while jogging up and down the airstrips at 5:00 a.m.

Also, being only 19 at the time, I think I wore a couple of grooves down the road to Ciudad Acuna. Saw a few things there that young army men don't need to see  !
