Default Lewis R. and Cowlitz River Question

Well, folks, my dad won a guided trip for two for the Lewis or Cowlitz and has invited me to join him. Having done most of my fishing in Oregon, I'm not up to speed on the runs for either of these rivers. So, my question is - do either of these rivers have decent runs of Springers, Summer Steelhead, etc.

If you had a free trip with a guide on either of these rivers and could choose when to fish and what to fish for, what would you do?

Thanks,

ORS

springers on the cowlitz....just my 2cents.
You really can't go wrong with either of the choices, both rivers get good runs all year, both salmon and steelhead.

Summer runs will actually be the most fun, the summer run has been phenomenal for quite a while now. Springers can be good and probably will be very good this year, but summers are always consistent.

I would agree with Moley on this one. Springers on the Cow..... Huge run expected this spring up there.

Have fun!!!!

Don't know much about the lewis, but the cowlitz can be fun for summerruns. Springers could be a good bet as well. I would go fish for what you don't get to very often. If you do a bunch of springer fish down your way I'd take a steelhead trip. Use this opportunity to learn new tricks.

Enjoy

Up the flag pole one more time. I'm going to have to put something on the calendar next week for this, so I'm hoping to have some idea what to do here. Thanks all for your input!
