Question East Lake Reports ??

Just wondering if anyone has been up to East Lake in the last week. Looking for water conditions such as water temperature and if there was any sign of a algae bloom? I am going up there in just a couple of days.

I heard a report that the dry fly fishing was off the hook. Usually that isn't the case if there is a major bloom happening.

Fished east last weekend. Fishing was awesome. Still fished worm and corn as well as powerbait and red eggs. Caught a ton of kokes, rainbow, and browns. Tons of beautiful fish, but did notice some of the rainbows and browns were a bit skinnier than years past (longer winter)

Water temp was approx 66 if I recall correctly and air temp was in and to the mid 90's. Had extremely warm weather with a decent breeze to make it comfortable. Woke up the next morning and had ICE on the boat!!!

Should be a great time, saw a few other people catching fish trolling and jigging. A few trips out took a bit to get the fish pinpointed but fishing just off the bottom produced almost nonstop action!

Finally, fish ranged quite a bit but were all pretty nice. Rainbows from 12-17 1/2 Koks from 12-15 1/2 and Browns 12-18 seemed to be the common number. Had one big fish on that wouldn't come up, fought for several minutes but as often happens that last run set him free. Good luck and post up what you find!!!
