Default Whats up smelters?

Are the smelt in yet? There hasn't been any talk about them in the last 24 hours.

Hey jokester, you're smarter than you look!
No seriously, that was a good point!

I'm still optomistic! The indicators up around Vancouver Island and also from the shrimp trawlers should put a much larger run than what we experienced a couple weeks ago.
Not to mention that we have continued to have some pretty good ocean conditions.
We've also had some excellent parental years a few years back.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helvetica">There in Blactail's freezer!

I think they will be here.
I hope so because I discouraged some folks from coming up here because it was so poor.
Maybe they would have been better off spending $20.00 on gas and getting a handful of fresh mega-smelts?
Towards the end that was even questionable.

Hey Blactail oh buddy old pal that I have never met.
You want to go sturgie fishin' with me and bring some fresh frozen?

Just kidding.

Have faith and when the Columbia warms and it gets time for the late broodstock run of smelt to appear they will be so thick that you will be able to walk across the Cowlitz on them.

Keep it zipperlip and amongst yourselves but I hear WDFW is going to plant Horseshoe Lake with catchable smelt on Thursday.

Oh, maybe I should just go to bed!

I NEVER said I pulled smelt from the freezer  I said SOMEONE pulled smelt from a freezer  If those pesky things would ever show up where I could dip a few, THEN I could pull smelt from my own freezer. Until then, that's why I have friends like you Kev! Besides, you can't catch a fish anyway, so you need me to break the skunk off the boat!
