Cleaning boat seats...?
I've tried everything short of setting the seats on fire to clean the stains and mildew off the vinyl.
Any recommendations?

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
I've cleaned seats with "white lightening" degreaser bought at Home Depot. Then I used Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Worked great.

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
I use a product called Spot Lifter that I buy at Ace Hardware. It's in a white spray bottle. Brutal stuff -- don't use it in closed quarters -- the fumes are harsh. It lifts everything from bike chain grease to blood (I've lifted nasty stains of both types in my boat).

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
I just did some seats in a North River and used plain old ArmorAll with a toothbrush. Worked good!

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
sometimes there is only one choice when mildew comes from the backside of vinyl and that is a die job. if its surface mildew any of the above should work or should of worked by now.

Starbrite Mildew Stain Remover. Do a google search for it to see what the bottle looks like, then you can pick it up at West Marine. Even if you don't have "Mildew" it really cleans Vinyl, and plastic surfaces great.

100% bleach on a towel, let it sit. Spot Shot carpet cleaner also works very well. I've never seen a stain one of those couldn't remove off vinyl.

That orange spray cleaner from the dollar tree is some very good stuff as well. Yep only a $1.

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
The Magic Eraser works good but I had it stain my white seats.
I like these, I use them on just about everything even the boat deck for a deep cleaning.

Re: Cleaning boat seats...?
Well we tried the Krud Killer and with a little adjustment, it worked just dandy. Needed to let it soak a bit, work it in with a wet scrub brush and then rinse with water, but the seat are spanking clean. I might go so far as to say, they are purt' near good as new!
Thanks Trap50!
