Hola mis amigos!
Got home (sadly) from Cabo tonight. What a great time.
First of all...Hotel Hacienda beach cabana was the PERFECT call!! Thanks to those who pushed me in that direction!
Secondly...what a cool place to go! We got to do everything we wanted to do, and had a hard time leaving today to come home to the gray skies of PDX. Cant wait to go back. Best meal of the trip is easy...Felix's restaurant. Fantastic food!!
We learned a valuable lesson though. When travelling all day, not eating, and having only a few hours sleep the night before, 5-6 margaritas in the sun by the pool is NOT a good idea. Those of you I have exchanged messages with can email me if you want the full story.
Suffice it to say though...great time. Did everything we planned on doing. Cant wait to go back!!

Re: Hola mis amigos!
Cool. Welcome back. Glad to hear that you had a great, and safe time.
I am tempted to try a trip down there. Realisticlly, how much could you scrape by on for a cheap weekend down there (in a good hotel)? I am trying to line something up for our 2nd aniv. I was too broke for our 1st to do anything more than breakfast in bed and a scouting trip.... I mean a nice walk in the woods.

Re: Hola mis amigos!
PM, the full story about the first night only....and only cuz it is a classic. And it only involves partial nudity.
PDXKev...here is what we learned (too late into our trip). There are restaurants right on the marina, which are nice, and WAY over priced. Our best meals of the trip came on the last day thanks to a restaurant guide we had packed (the lady that booked our hotel sent it to us). Lunch was at a place called La Gardenia or something like that. 5 tacos and 2 bottles of Coke (tacos were awesome too!!) for somewhere around $9 if that. Dinner that night was at a place called Felix's. Our dinner there cost us I think about $50-$60, but that included several drinks, appetizers and dessert.
As for hotels...I dont know the prices of different places. However, I will officially join the bandwagon and say that if you are going for an anneversary and want a really great room, go to the Hotel Hacienda and get the beach front cabana with the king sized bed. Trust me! I'll have pictures later this week. Its not the cheapest option, but you can walk everywhere (thus no cab expenses) and the room was great. Walk out your back door, and you are on the beach.
Its hard to be back in the office now. :depressed: But at least I am nice and tanned!
We also agreed that if our trip was "successful", and if it is a boy, he will have the middle name Lucas (as in, Cabo San LUCAS). Time to cross the fingers and pray again.

Re: Hola mis amigos!
Greenbutt....let me put it this way. We went there, had a great time, but never got to ride the waverunners or see the arch on Lovers Beach. In other words, the baby making was the main priority.

Re: Hola mis amigos!
Could have headed to the coast up here for that and sent those of us that have done the babymaking in your place.

Now who would that have been
Can I say "I told ya so" now????
PS - If this works I always wanted to be a Godfather! (but "Uncle Mel" will work)

PM, pics of the resort for Kevin...not of our baby making. Perv.
Miss B, you were right all along. I'm glad I listened to ya! If it works, Uncle Mel it is!

Re: Hola mis amigos!
CT - You'd have been disappointed if I didn't call you on the pic and full story comments... c'mon! Confess!
Mel - Sorry, but you just don't have the voice OR the appearance to be a Godfather. Uncle works, but just barely.

Re: Hola mis amigos!
PM, true, I was waiting for someone to hit on it. Should have known you'd pounce all over it! I'll post a couple of the PG pics later this week.
