Default trim tab question

21' NR seahawk. trim tab won't work on one side. The other works perfectly. All I can hear is the clicking like a solenoid both up and down. Is this a sealed unit where you have to replace the whole thing from the wiring into the switch block to the actuator? PM's are welcome thanx TB

Cool Re: trim tab question

What brand actuator is installed on your trim tabs ?
Lenco is an alright brand , but if you want a foolproof trim tab
that will outlast them all ...
Look to Bennett Trim tab assemblys ...
You will most likely have to replace the actuator and wiring harness as a group ...

How old are the trim tabs. I had the same problem with mine on 1 side
it started after sitting all winter. When I was going though the
spring check out of systems I found it. It would just click.
What I found was. after I called NR and Lenko. and linko sent me
2 new trim motors. was that in the black actuators was the
gears had eaten each other and locked up. lack of grease.
The 2 nuts on top hold the entire thing together.
if you open it up. make sure to not louse the washeres
that go under the nuts. And grease up the seals, going back together..
there is a Phone number on the trim tabs for Lenko.

Good luck

If they are less than 3 years old they will do a warrenty
thing and send a replacement. Or you may be able to sweet talk
the young lady that runs the warrenty department in to a new one.
But that is what it is.
