Default Jetboat races in Woodland

I've seen the races on TV, pretty impressive.
These things are really fast .

Anyone else thinking about going June 14th?

Those are so cool! Saw it on TV one night and got hooked. Didn't realize there was a track in Woodland though. I may have to see about hitting this one.

Go check them out, I've been to the races @ Richland 5-6 times...it's way cool!

I don't know of any other craft on water or land that can out turn a sprint boat doing 70 mph.

And people wonder why those little jetboats have roll bars

There was an article in The Daily News, Longview's newpaper, that the Woodland track never got permits last year to do this. The area is zoned for Agriculture and they supposedly need a special use permit. Our County Comissioners are still deciding if they are going to give them a permit or close them down. There are residents complaining about the races and residents for the races.

As I understand it, due to the length of time it takes to get the permit and it's cost, it was cheaper for the event promoter to go ahead with the race and recieve the fine.

I did not get to see them last year but I am planning to attend this years race.

I forwarded your concerns to the contact person for the association.
