Default Christmas in May

Due to financial limitations my wife and I were unable to get our kids and grand kids anything for Christmas this past year :depressed: It was really tough on us but since we have great kids they understood although it made for a gloomy Christmas.
So when things finally turned around for us we decided to reward the kids with a "late" Christmas. Using the ploy of a combo birthday party(mine on the 5/12 my youngest daughters on 5/8) and an early Mother's day we had the whole crew over for a BBQ with cake and ice cream yesterday.
When everyone had eaten my wife and I got out the Christmas gifts all wrapped up in Christmas paper and it was just great
I really appreciated the patience they all had when we were struggling so much and the old saying "It's better to give than receive" was never truer than yesterday. Especially when it come to those you love

Smiles all around
Life pitches us curveballs on occasion. I don't measure wealth by the amount of money I have-- rather by the amount of love I am surrounded by.
Judging by your post, you are a wealthy man Stew. Glad to hear your up and runnin' again!
