Default Below Willamette Falls - Depth.

Do any of you know the approx depth around the OC Falls (bottom side - down river). I've been all over that area from the marina almost up to the falls, With the water disturbance/turbulence from the falls my guage gives all kinds of readngs ranging from 2 ft to 50 ft.

Thanx
SN

I believe you should believe your depth finder. It really is 2 to 50 feet. Just depends where you are. There are a couple of underwater cliffs, some pinnacles, and some rubble piles from broken off "falls". It really is all those depths. Sometimes within 10 feet of each other.

All depends on where you are at, above the Old bridge, in front of the Catwalk it can be as deep as 110' below the bridge I think it is in the mid 20's. Up above it varies also, I haven't been above the locks in quite a few years and don't remember exact depths but I think it ranges from the 30's the a lot shallower up around the falls.

I second the above opinions. If you look at the bottom on your fish finder you'll see the peaks and valleys all over the place. It's some pretty wild landscape.
