Default Olallie or lost (Mt.Hood)

So trying to decide. Headed out Aug9-12 with my girlfriend and my dog for some summer fun. Hiking and scenery are top on their list but fishing and solitude are atop mine. Any advice?

The hike around Lost Lake is VERY scenic and a person fishing could almost follow the hikers progress around the lake at the same time. Early morning is best for solitude fishing there though- by afternoon you'll have lots of company as the "rentals" hatch across the lake.

No recent experience with Ollalie- just remember lots of mosquitos back then!

LOL, well said.

I'm gonna vote for Ollallie, while picking up a Res permit and hiking back into those lakes. I've never done it, but it looks like a good time on the map.
