Default Question about Green Peter

I usually fish Yale or Merwin, but thought I'd try my home state waters. I've only driven to G.P. for a look and that was a number of years ago. Just wondering what and where is the best ramp to launch from? As I remember and my memory is not the greatest, we drove to the first ramp and there were actually two ramps. It seemed that one ramp was for high water and the other for low water, but can't remember the name of the launching area. Any help would really be appreciated. BTW, did a search but couldn't find an answer.

Thistle Creek is the first boat ramp. Good luck, seems it's turning on nicely.

If it's popular (as in good weather, bite is on, hot, etc.) the boat parking can be quite interesting. Usually, the good spots by the ramp are taken and then it's a scramble to find places to park up the road (and not get ticketed). I have been there in the early afternoon when all the early risers are getting off the water and found easy places to park close by. But, it can be very busy if you get a late morning start. Putting in and taking out can sometimes take forever there when there are folks that are inconsiderate or new. Be prepared for a wait at the launch...sometimes half an hour or more.

GarySt has it right about the boat ramp. I can be quite a challenge some days. As of yesterday, Whitcomb Creek ramp was still usable and has more than double the parking. That will change soon as the lake level is coming down fast. It is about 2 miles farther past Thistle.-

Thanks to everyone for the heads up. Found out I can't make this weekend, wife has me going a wedding. But definitely next weekend, and hope to see some of you ifishers out there.

Bring your downrigger; pink or bright orange hoochies; white corn; and 40 ft and you will get them.
