There are trout - rainbow and native cutts, large and smallmouth bass, black crappie, white crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, channel catfish, and bullheads. Rumors of sturgeon, but never actually seen one.
i've caught every one of those species except the channel cats and sturgeon. Have seen a couple channel cats on another fisherman's stringer.
Worms fished under a bobber or on the bottom will catch anything that swims in there. So will just about any type of lure. Powerbait works well for the trout. Eight state record smallmouth bass have been pulled from Hagg's waters. Lots of good fishing to be had in that lake.
Have been fishing Hagg for 20+ years.
The crappie mentioned above are sparse, but they're in there. Mostly hang out in the weedy creek arms @ the north end of the lake, and along the east shore.
