Nothing more to worry about than normal, if you screw up you're dead and then it won't matter much who you take out with ya now will it??

Carrier pilots get graded on every landing, but I'd bet that a landing with the Commander-In-Chief on board could end your career if the tailhook skipped and you had to "bolt".
Personally I think that would be a rush blasting off the deck after a bad landing, but the Navy frowns on it. They're no fun. :depressed:

They dont like it when you do fly-by's too. I speak from my vast Naval knowledge accumulated from watching Top Gun a few times. That girl was hot.

Re: How nervous would you be?????
Sorry.
Those pilots can land in the dark in raging seas, I doubt that they get too nervous putting it down in perfect conditions. Pretty exciting to have the prez on board though. There's a story to tell for the rest of your life.
Sorry again for making a comment about the media manipulation. OOPS

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Back in '68 I was aboard a missile cruiser and we escorted the USS Enterprise for several months in the Tonkin gulf...the Big E conducted flight operations just about everyday, combat ops around the clock, and we were there 1000 yards astern to pick up bolters that flamed out or otherwise crashed. There would be days & weeks go by without an incident but every few weeks a jet would crash on takeoff or landing...and we picked up the survivors or, usually, the bodies of the crewmen.

Re: How nervous would you be?????
Yeah that W. may be a stupid monkey puppet, but he sure has the best political handlers that corporate money can buy. What a spectacle!
(Don't flame me, this a compliment! Well, as close as I will get. It was just beautiful propaganda. Flawless. Very impressed I am, and sort of nauseous at the same time.)

Re: How nervous would you be?????
Lost sailor,
I started this post out of respect for the pilot that was given the task of doing a carrier landing with the President. I did not start this to turn into a left vs right. Go bash the office and the man somewhere else.
