Bummer Norm. :depressed:

At least you got some notice. Last November mine was, "Hey Mark, gotta second?"

What line of work are you in? I'll keep an eye out for your type of work too.

Every time I feel like complaining about my job, I see a thread like this. Then it ain't so bad after all.
Good luck, Norm, and hang in there.

Sorry to hear about the BAD news, my day went south today, 1st. I went fishing by myself forgot my hat, dropped my cell phone in the water, lost the only fish for the day, then my big motor stopped running, had to run back on the kicker.

I too am now unemployed. Got it this afternoon along with 3 others on 2nd shift. There were 21 on that shift so now it's down to 17.
The axe will drop on day shift tomorrow and I'm curious to see who gets it tomorrow.
Was talking to the plant manager when I was called in (nice notice huh) and he said things were slower than they appeared Boeing and Cessna were sliding orders as we spoke. So I'm sure it won't be long and they'll be getting the axe out again.
They just laid 12 people off two weeks ago and it got alot slower since then.

I can honestly say, thats the last aerospace shop I'll ever work in again. My box is home for good. Now to talk to the state about retraining.
