Member for a Day... National Pete Day!

Last night Jen mentioned in one of her posts that it would be fun to have a "Member for a Day" thread to make others feel good for what they do here on this site. I thought this was a wonderful idea since there are allot of people on here that help out in so many ways.

So, with that said, I nominate Pete for "Member for a Day" today.

I personally have never met Pete, but I do follow this website daily and see allot of influence he has on the day-to-day operations on here. I know he has also been a huge help to Jen and for that I tip my hat to him.

Pete, thank you for all you do to help keep this the best fishing website in the northwest.

Well I have met Pete personally and have found him to be rather plain, middle of the road, no bells and whistles, type of guy.

No tie dye, no birks, no braid, no long beard, no J. Lennon shades ( wait a minute maybe those were present). I'm sure there were no beads. There was no talk of black Helicopters. :shocked:

Anyway it was quite disapointing! :depressed:

A Big thank you Pete. I met Pete on the river last year while fishing for Up river brights. Being it was my first trip and not knowing what I was doing he has very helpful as far as sharing information and techniques.
(My wife got her first Salmon that day)

Thanks Pete for everything you do here. I met Pete on the river this year sturgeon fishing, only when he showed up the bite turned off, please warn me next time.......so I can fish somewhere else! :grin:

I hereby nominate this day to be National Pete day!

Not only did he get a member into a salmon yesterday, but I am here to say, I probably would have long burned out of this ifish position, if it weren't for Pete's help and support!

When I am feeling blue, Pete picks me up! When I am feeling stressed, Pete helps me out, and does some of the tasks on ifish for me!
When I feel like quitting, Pete points out why I should not!
Thanks to Pete, I don't feel overwhelmed by registration anymore!
Thanks to Pete, we have SO MUCH at ifish!

So, this is National Pete day on ifish! :smile:

This is a GREAT idea! Pete is truly a big part of the strength of Ifish. There are a lot of superlatives we could use, but "Ifish Role Model" seems to do a pretty good job of describing him.

I can think of a dozen others who deserve a day, but Pete is the perfect choice for Number One!
