My boss owns quite a bit of land in Glide. Right on the North Umpqua. Springers are just starting to show up. Head up to the Idlewyd (sp) store and ask around. Fishing should only get better.

I have a real good friend that is a rancher down there. Great little town. Great fishing and hunting right in town also. You can't reall yfind a better area to live though, not far to the coast or the mountains. Just overall great palce. Friendly people also. Just your typical oregon logging town.

Glide is a very nice little town. I grew up not too far from there and have many friends from there. If you are looking for great fishing Glide is the place. Not only do you have the North Umpqua flowing by but you are just a little drive away from Diamond and Lemolo lake not to mention numerous mountain lakes that you can hike into to fish. Since you will be staying up Little River you should make a trip over to Cavitt Creek falls and do some swimming when it warms up. There is a cliff that everone jumps off of into a deep pool at the bottom of the falls. Ohhh, the memories  Enjoy yourself there as you will be hard pressed to ever live in an area of such natural beauty again. Good luck!!

Randy,
I believe that's the creek we skinny dipped in. God was it cold, hot outside though. We have nudie pics of us both in that creek on our bookshelg now. Neat creek, super deep holes in spots.

Yeah greenbuttskunk {you should really rethink that name ) I can remember a time or to coming around the corner and seeing some of you nudie people. The main hole at the falls tended to be nudie free but lord help you if you walked up or down that creek a little ways
Yes it was cold but when we were kids we didn't seem to mind and we would spend hours up there. My brother used to climb up that tree that stood on the jump off cliff and jump from there. Fortunately he is still with us although I sometimes wonder about what he was thinking back then  Kinda funny to find someone else who knows about the creek.
