Re: Good kennels?
I too tried Charlton Kennels, once. Very nice place, but a very lonely place for a dog on "vacation". Not only does your dog stay isolated in his own run (which is big), but they don't even like to have 2 dogs in the waiting room at the same time. I think the only interaction my dog had with another living thing that weekend was during his twice daily feedings :depressed:
If you have a social dog, find a cageless boarding place. I use Four Paws in Tigard. Not great, but at least I know my dog isn't bored and lonely there.
You should also pick up an issue of the "Dog Nose News" paper which has lots of ads for boarders of all kinds (some are individuals that just dog sit from their own home).
