Default depression

Doctor just put me on Zoloft. Anyone else here on it??
Heard it makes you tired the first 3 days. Might explain why I'm so sleepy tonight.

She put me on 50mg but wants me to take 25mg for the first week and then head back in a few weeks for a follow up.

They did bloodwork and everything came back normal as far as thyroid and blood sugar and iron.

Even my cholsterol level was good and I eat alot of greasy oily food.

I took it for about 4 years. I don't remember if I took 50 or 75mg. It worked, but I didn't care for the side effects.
Whatever you do, don't stop taking them cold turkey. The crashes can be vicious.

Did the doc move you onto something else or wean you off of Zoloft??
I've got a feeling I could be on this for a long long time. Kind of runs in the family, well not kind of, it does.
Doctor said what usually works for one family member works for another since it's a chemistry thing.

I've taken Paxil 20mg for a few years now for Anxiety disorder and it's help some but may have to go back to one a day instead of one every other day.
Anxiety disorder is a debilitating affliction and I struggle with it frequently.

Due to one particular side effect, I switched to Prozac for a while, then back to Zoloft. I then quit taking anything altogether. I was fine for a couple months, then BAM! Right back in the toilet. :depressed: Started Zoloft again, but soon my significant other started complaining about the side effect, so I finally switched to Wellbutrin.
Works OK, but not as well as Zoloft. But it sure did make a dent in my smoking habit, which is good.
I probably need to see a specialist to get the right meds. There's a ton of 'em out there, but finding the right one can be a challenge. Everybody's different.

I'm hoping this works.
Had this problem for years now and finally decided enough was enough.

What exactly is "anxiety disorder"???

Still can't believe my cholesterol level. It was up there a little, mine was a 187 and they said they want it under 200. But considering I've never paid attention to what I eat I thought it was pretty good.

Last time I had mine checked it was 180. I couldn't believe it either. I never watch what I eat. But my triglycerides were another story. :depressed:
One of these days it's gonna catch up with me.
