Fishing this weekend... Any suggestions?

I was hoping to get out tomorrow and fish. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to fish. I have a 14ft Zodiac and would like to fish for either salmon or steelhead. preferably close to the portland area. Btw i have room for a buddy or two. let me know what you guys think.?

hi zodiac.
i dont have alot of springer experience. but wouldnt mind hooking up for a zodiac trip, heard of a few springers being caught in the meldrum bar area......thanks

LQQKASTAR,

I have some expierence in fishing the willamette, i was thinking, just troll with cut plug herring a few miles upriver from the sellwood bridge. Caught some nice springers there last yr. its just a matter of time until we get a huge wave of springers up into the rivers. Drop me a line at dshore@speakeasy.net

sounds great.
just thought i should let you know i have a boat,but i dont have a kicker motor, im just starting to dewinterize it now, & i dont like taking it out alone either,so theres an option. my company recently shut down so im unemployed at the moment and am not planning to return to work till I get over this fever.....springer fever that is, so i hope to fish alot of week days.
hope we can hook up somtime, my boat, your raft..either way
