Default Leaving for LBC tomorrow

I'm heading to LBC tomorrow with the family for our first camping trip in years. I'm stoked!

I'm dragging the boat over and we want to do some fishing. I was hoping to pick up some last minute pointers from someone that has fished there a few times. We will be staying at Cove Palisades and that is about all I know. I have never been there before in my life and aside from knowing what type of fish it has in it I'm clueless.

I have a 9yr old daughter so I'm hoping to find something we can have fun with and have some decent action. Spending all day looking for a giant Bull would be great for me, but boring as heck for her. She loves catching dinner so if there are any kokes around this time of year that would be sweet!

What do you guys think? What's it like right now? From the Cove is there a particular area I should head for? I'm not a novice finding fish, I can use my electronics, but it's a big lake. Any tips on general areas, gear, and species to target with decent action would be much appreciated.

We are going to have a blast no matter what, but a few fish for dinner would be icing on the cake!

Thanks a bunch!

Id head up to the metolius arm and fish jear the houses near the deadline! You shouldnt have a prob getting your limits of kokes. Theres also a ton of smallmouth in the lake that will give your daughter plenty of action. If you do head up the Metolius arm, you do need a tribal permit though.

Thanks for the tip! Any gear in particular I should pick up or does the standard wedding ring in chart or red work ok?

Those should do fine, but you never know what the hot lure could be! Id definitely take some jigs along and jig for the kokes.
