Default 20 lbs Brown rumor

Found this posted on the East Lake site. Anyone hear about a 20 lb. brown being caught at EAST?

The largest brown trout this season is still the 12# 6oz buck caught by Dennis McGanty on June 2nd. It was caught on a 5-1/2" Trophy Stick; this beautiful fish was graciously released by Mr. McGanty for another fisherman to enjoy. We have heard rumors of a 20# fish caught and released last week, but with no pictures to verify we won’t boast about that one too much.

It's like the 20 lber that washed up on shore at Lemolo last year (never saw pics) or the state record Bull Trout that was caught out of LBC seemingly every season, but never confirmed. I went up to Paulina earlier this season and there was a rumor that a 15 lber had been caught. I asked the resort owners, and they confirmed what I thought, it was only a rumor. Until I see pics, I won't hold my breath.

I caught a 20lb Brown down here in California in late June. Rumors abound. Since then, rumors have been floating about me being seen launching my boat at places I've not visited.
I just tell them that it's probably one of those Elvis impersonators. I'm glad there are people and boats that look like me. I don't need a lot of fishermen following me around the lake to see what kind of bait I'm using.

Everyone is welcome here Monte! The only request is that new members tell a fish story when they first come aboard. I think you pretty much got that covered! Welcome to i-fish!

Not completely "lucky". You had to play that bruiser like a pro and still not get chewed off from those nasty teeth
