really tough to tell from a photo. PRobe EVERYWHEREwith something reasonably sharp, like a phillips screwdriver. IF you find any soft wood = dry rot = big repairs needed. Wood boats can last a long time, the key is storage, the boat must never be stored with water in it. IT has to always be allowed to dry thoroughly, else dry rot.
If it just needs refinishing and the price is right and you like the boat go for it.
Having built, owned and sold a wooden DB, I now own aluminum.
Good luck.

If you want to work on a boat for several weeks every year, get a woody. Fibreglass will still cost you some time, but you can add glass or have a shop do it. Its a pain..... and spendy.

Then again aluminum needs work to. How about a pontoon boat.

Do you love wood boats and that's the reason your looking at it, or do you just want something to fish from?

If you love wood, look it over and see if its the one you want.

If you just want to go fishing, then skip it and buy glass or aluminum.
