Just returned home from fishing 3 wonderful days at Odell Lake for kokes and thought I'd get in a quick report for you guys heading up their this weekend. I'll be heading up to Mt. Hood for some fishing their.
Fished from Sheltered Cove Marina out to the slide and over to the cove and back to the Marine. The fish seemed to be in small schools in various spots and holding around 40-60ft. The larger kokes holding in 100ft and deeper. Started fishing Beer Can trolls with red wedding rings at first with good catch rates in the morning, but had to switch to Cow Bells and Willow leaf trolls in the afternoon to keep the action going. We also tried Princess Creek with not much luck.
We ended up with around 40 kokes, many in the 6-8" with a few in the 10" size. Some where trolling at the surface for some quick fast action. We had our best luck was with corn scented with tuna, then Anise.
So thats my story, get out their and have a safe weekend, slow down and take your time.
Kim.
