Default Need help on motor block

I have got a 1988 bayliner with the 3.0 4CYL GM. motor has less then 3 hours and I didn't winterize it like I shuold of so it cracked the block. Now I can't find a 3.0 block. Everyone I have talk to has a 2.3 liter are they the same block just diffrent bore and stroke. Any suggestions would realy help

If its not making oil and is just an external leak You may be able to patch it.

lots of Bayliners for sale. Just look for a junker that fell apart. You could make a call to GM and find out if they used that block in any cars. Then again, some shops may have an old motor that was tossed for a new motor instead of going rebuild. Either way, a lot of searching on the web.

You can have it welded for a pretty reasonable price at a competant welding shop.
