Default Be nice to the service guy!

I work in a service center for honda and when people come in they think it is out problem that they have broke there out board. Please be nice to the people that are helping you with your problem. Think of it this way, we were not on the river with you, we do not know what you were doing with it, we did not brake it. So when you go to your service center next time and you are not nice to the person you are talking to, then dont expect good service. Just put your self in the service consultant shoes. Now think how you would feel. Thanks for letting me vent!!

You know how it is....nobody's ever thrilled about taking their boat, car, TV or whatever in to get repaired. It's supposed to work flawlessly every time, right?
That's why I'd never want to be a cop or a tow truck driver. Sometimes people are glad to see you, but they're never happy about the reason they called you in the first place.

I know what you meen. i to work in a service related job, people will yell and scream and swear at me, when all i want to do is get them fixed. most of the time its something they did and it takes less time to fix then the time they spend yelling

I've been in the service biz for too many years. People are usually very easy to deal with, but we have all seen the guy that you couldn't please if you gave him free service, refunded his original purchase price and shot the salesman that sold it to him. After having a service related company for the past 23 years, the one policy I have, is I always try to put myself in the customer's shoes, and see it from their point of view. I'll admit that at times it's hard to do, but at the very least, it works on the majority of service calls that I do. As the world has become more crowded, and as most industry has become more into the quantity over quality attitude, it makes our job as service people a little more difficult. The only thing harder to deal with than an irate customer is the factory rep that will not allow any warranty repairs, unless the guy has a note from his great grandmother and it is properly notarized.
