Default 115 Yamaha

I have a 115 Yamaha that has been a great motor but it has been sitting almost two years now without being started and run. I think that it probably needs to be gone completely through. Does anyone have a recommendation on a mechanic or place to have it worked on?
Thanks

One of the best engines ever made IMHO. It shouldn't need major work but it might need some carb cleaning. I'd start by just pulling the plugs, spray in some fogging oil, let it sit for a litte while, then turn it over to make sure none of the rings are stuck. Then put the plugs back in, fill it up with fresh gas, and give it a try. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Unless it was stored with the spark plugs out, or underwater, I'm sure it's fine. It might be a good idea to pull power to the coil and crank the engine until it has oil pressure (or 15-20 seconds if you have no gauge/indicator) to get oil circulated throughout the engine, but my money is on a perfect engine no matter what you do.
