WMB, I use the Jabsco remote oil drain on my boat. A friend used it on a Ford F150 cuz it always got all in the frame and all over the driveway.

About $40 at Fishermans Marine but worth every cent.

I run Fumoto valves on both rigs. They work great would not be without one. I can change the oil and literally not get any on me or the driveway. Takes a little longer to drain tho'.

They are kind of spendy at $26 to your door. They come out of Seattle.

Thanks for the input guys.

Pilar, I'm going to be down by Fishermans later today, I'll have to take a look at the Jabsco. It sounds like whichever style I go with will be worth the cost, cause I'm tired of cleaning up oil! In reality, you save enough money by changing your own oil that the cost of these valves is pretty insignificant.

Good deal, thanks again.

Proprietary SureDRAIN Valve - this unique, heavy duty Actuator Valve is precision engineered to permanently replace your existing oil drain plug and allow instant oil access and draining.

They have these at AutoZone for less than $20.00. I put one on my boat Motor and it works great. You just screww on the tube and run it out the drain plug and there is no mess in the bildge compartment.

I see no reason it would not work on the Suburban.

Default Engine oil drain valve

I change the oil in my pickup and my wife's Subaru wagon. The pickup is no problem, but I always end up getting a bunch of oil down my arm when I remove the plug from the Subaru because of how you get to it.

But now I see this: http://www.fumotovalve.com/

It looks like if you get it positioned right, you could open the valve without getting any oil on you. They also make one that you can hook up a drain hose to to direct the oil flow.

Has anybody used one of these or anything like it? Are there other brands/styles that you can buy locally?
