Default Salmon plates

Wow. I'm confused. I guess I assumed that the extra fee for Salmon plates (license plates) went to help salmon habitat, etc.

The DMV web-site is a little less specific on the subject.

"Additional Fees Go To: Litter Patrol Fund, Governors' Watershed Enhancement Board, and State parks"

Okay, now let's not get all steamed up about this... it's an FYI only. Am I the only one in the dark?

I thought the extra $50 was for salmon restoration and enhancement.

Here's the original bill. What was covered by the media and what went into law appears to be two different things. Surprised?

OWEB funds YOUR local Watershed Councils who in turn enhance salmon habitat. Funding is becoming harder to get and with the latest OWEB "evaluation" fiasco, Councils need more help than ever.

If the litter is picked up off the road, doesnt that mean it doesnt end up in the storm system which drains to streams.

I get a yearly state parks pass even tho I dont really get my monies worth out of it. Parks are important and I like clean ones.
