Default Northriver mechanic

Can anyone out there recommend a good mechanic for a Northriver? I recently purchase a used (2008) Trapper and I had some questions and clarifications. For example, the control lever seems stiff over a portion of the throw and then it gets easy when at higher revs/up on a plain. My sportster was not like this; nor is my friends Commander. Also, when I make a hard turn, I can feel the control level chattering. Is this normal or does something need adjusting? The boat has 25 hours on it so it is barely broken in. Any recommendations/suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

HR

Give Siglers a call, at one time they were going to start selling Northrivers.

I stopped by Siglers last week to buy some spark plugs. 8 bucks each
for the same plugs at stevens 3.50 ea. So I started looking around.
a Tail light for a trailer 61.00 ea. stevens 38.00
Are you getting the picture. If you feel like giving your money away
stop my there. And make sure to ask for the KY bofore your pay.

Does Siglers have a dedicated area/space for parts and accessories?

The later model single lever controls on North River boats are built by Flo-Tek out of Roseburg, OR. Sam Bass the owner/builder of these controls can help you 541-679-7458. He can also retrofit other control systems on JET boats. I would talk with him directly about control questions. He's very talented and a really good guy that I am sure would be happy to help. Flo-Tek/Sam was a vendor of North River boat and is in way involved with them.

Some what. in the back room behind the office, there is a room with
some stuff in it. But a parts department. ???
The guy went in to another area to get the plugs I asked for.
Over at Stevens marine. They to go in to another room for parts.
But there you have a counter guy and a Parts department...
and a service guy as well. But at Siglers you are talking to a sells
person. not a parts person. There there to sale boats. not to build a
costumer base. If they were, there parts would be closer the 25 to 30 %
mark up. Not 100% as they are....

I would think that Steven's would be able to assist, Northriver built the boat, not the controls.

Just a note to let everyone know I tried Northwest Marine Sollutions and was very please with their customer service and work. They definitely know their stuff and Chris indeed knows Northrivers.

I will be using them again.

Thanks for the tip.
