I took the photo. After my buddy came out of his coma he said the ride was killer but the landing sucked.....

Yep, Revenue. Water was 2100cfs, we had a good day of fishing. Not a float for the faint of heart or novice oarsman, roller coaster waves, rocks and holes and huge hydraulics, would not recommend it below 1600cfs below Marmot.

Whooeee I am good!! I have run that stretch a few times in my IK. It is a fun one for sure! I need to paddle more!

My toon' is an 8ft Southfork which I will take anywhere from Revenue down. The boat in the picture is a two man 12ft boat belonging to the guy crumpled up on the rocks.
I don't have an IK. From what I see on the Deschutes people get in a raft and try to kill themselves. Other folks get in an IK and it tries to kill them. :grin:
I bet 50% of the IKs that run Boxcar get dumped, not a bad spot to swim but I've flipped in Oak Springs one time and THAT is No fun whatsoever. >>>see avatar...<<<
I've run all the main rapids on the "D" in my Southfork but Oak Springs I take the little "chicken out" channel on the far left. The flipping part ain't so bad but getting chewed up on the rocks below really "grates" on me.....

I had IK once. Was seenin' those 'toons, too. Luckily antibiotics cleared it right up!

IK=Inflatable Kayak

I paddle a 12' Eurocraft. It is a very solid boat.
It will go through anything! I did get munched by Husom Falls on the White Salmon, but I'd like to try it again!)
