Default Change in Topic Posting Procedures?

Quote:
Geek, the only reason I edited this post and several others was to add the automated email responce. I wish Jennie would change that to where you automaticaly recieved emails and if you choose not to, then check the box not to recieve reply's to your topic.

I forget to check the box half the time and I prefer to see if anyone has responded otherwise if you really get involved in posting, sometimes you forget to check certain post especially if it is an old post someone responded too.

Oh, I see a new poll brewing.

A reply from the main post that I addressed:

You totally confused me bait boy and maybe I totally confused you.

So you're saying that you want the server to do more work if I forget to uncheck a box instead of someone actually having to read a message board for its content and replys to individual posts?

I don't think that would work for 3000 box uncheckers. but thats just my opinion

There would be no extra work on anybody. Right now as it stands, when you post a new topic, you have to remember to check the email notification box. If you forget (which is easy to do), you are not notified if anyone reply's to you.

What I am suggesting or implying is probably most folks would like to know if someone replies to their thread and let's make it automagic instead of having to remember to check the "Email Notification" box.

Just my opinion and it has caused me to go back and edit my topic post quite a few times and some might wonder why I edited it!

I feel good when I don't have to go back and edit a topic post or reply because it makes me feel like I did it right the first time and avoids the question if I might of screwed up and had to edit my original post.

Hope that clears up the confusion.
