Default Fishing at the Palace!! Ifisher prospect?

In case you missed it in the Oregonian.

The photo caption reads "Pfc. Marc Bennett fishes in a lake surrounding one of Saddam Hussein's palaces Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in western Baghdad, Iraq. Bennett used a pole he had found at the compound and was using noodles  from an MRE as bait. Bennett said he had not caught anything."

I don't know what more I can say except, great work and somebody please send this guy some eggs. If anybody deserves to go fishing, it's our boys in Iraq.

Sorry about the repeat post. I posted this on the main board and it got bounced here by the boss. I still say it's fishing related .

I heard a correspondent on NPR this morning saying he saw some soldiers catch some "horrible looking" fish that he couldn't identify. He said they reminded him of carp.

Knowing the way some people chase fishing reports, they'd better zipperlip the "palace hole".

I don't see how it could be not fishing related. I think that soldier is already an honorary Ifisher.

I guess pictures can be deceiving but it certainly looks as if he's fishing.
