Re: Mc Iver to Barton
Ran it last week for the first since moving back from Bend. Basically haven't run it in about ten years. It has really changed since the big one in 1996. The only spot I thought was worth mentioning was just above Eagle Creek taking the left channel of the Island. There is a couple good size roller's with a big branch in it that wants to push you into the bank. Good Luck!

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
As of last year, I think most people were taking the right channel at the Eagle Creek island. Much easier ride.

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
I concur with the previous post. Above bonnie stay right. Below bonnie, stay left...Then again, that WAS a month ago.
But, the new one was a very large tree snag that was smack dab in the middle of the deep elbow 2 miles below feldheimers (near the house river L).
That one kind of spooked up on me. "Wasn't there before!"

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
I ran it last Saturday. I hadnt been down it in at least two years. I stayed left above eagle creek and had no problems. Just stay out of the big rollers and you should be fine. I worked my way aroundf them without any problem. Nothing really hairy about the ride. Lots of sleds oncce you get below eagle creek. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Good luck.

Mc Iver to Barton
Was going to put in @lower launch @ Mc Iver and drift to Barton tomorrow.
I haven't been down this drift in a few years.
Anyone drifted it lately? Any changes?
Thanks

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
The last high water got rid of that snag at the totem pole house, and I would stay right at bonnie lure.

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
Thanks for all the advice guys. I didn't get to run it today, as my partner bailed out at 10:00 last night.
I did manage 6 for 11 today from the bank. Everone of them a nate. Going to shoot for tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
No,I hooked 11 today, and landed 6.
If you choose to doubt me, you are more than welcome to fish with me anytime.
I don't own a digital camera,and I don't post BS.
If you'd like I'll be more than happy to take you to a river East of here in September where we hook over 20 + fish a day.
And I apologize if I seem to be striking back, but I don't appreciate being called a liar.

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
Eeeeeasy there pardner...You can quite easily see by my post I am in no doubt doing anything but gentle fun ribbing of you. I am obviously being sarcastic both in point & context. Put your challenge aside my friend, I have no need to check you camera. I am certain you've hooked 11 if not 20+ fish at any one time. If you read this site long enough, you've heard of the "1,ooo cast to 1 fish rule." Not everyone has your luck, skill and techniques. We've all had stellar, multiple fish day's. Kudos to you, nice job! A fellow just doesn't hear of a bank angler at Barton knocking into that many fish on the Clack in that short of a time span. You da' man!
Keep it up & be safe on the water.
Relax & enjoy!

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
Are you saying stay River-Right above Bonnie and again staying River-Right again after bonnie???
Now I am curious???
I always did River right, above bonnie and going thru the rollers River Left, below bonnie???
Am I now wrong?

Re: Mc Iver to Barton
AP,
I apologize. It was a very good morning for nates. But it was upstream, not at Barton, I don't like fishing there, too many crowds. Again my apology for jumping.
