Lodging Question: Rockaway Beach

I just found a coupon in my handy dandy entertainment book for Surfside Motel in Rockaway Beach......anyone been there before? comments?? Thank you

I've spent a lot of time in Rockaway but not at that motel.....

Yes, Indeed! We've stayed at the Surfside a few times! Not recently, though. It's a very comfortable place to stay, and the prices are still reasonable. They have a pool, and the units are very clean. We had a unit with windows that faced the ocean West, and North! We go to Rockaway every year at Spring Break time for schools in Washington, and meet our daughter and mother-in-law from Yakima. For the last 3 years, we have rented a house, which worked out rather well, except it was about 2 blocks from the beach, and had no view of the ocean. This year, we decided we were not going to the beach for a
whole week and not be able to see the water!! We are staying at The Getaway, which in on about 6th and Pacific. I think Surfside is on 11th. At any rate, the Surfside is a nice place to stay....I like using Coupons, too!
