Default Great Guides

The topic of tipping guides gets one thinking about great guides. Fished dorado in Cabo with a couple friends a bunch of years ago. Found the guide at the marina at 4a.m. based on a tip from a restaurant owner the night before. 20' ponga in swells that seemed nearly as big. When we finally hooked one, el capitan had two more rods baited, in the water and into fish in less than a minute. When the three of us landed our fish about 5 minutes later, I looked around to find all the gear stowed, drinks in holders and new rods ready to go. I couldn't recall seeing him leave the wheel. Same thing next time we hit fish. The guy was a magician. He got tipped plenty of pesos and the restaurant owner got 60# of fillets for his trouble. Anybody else have a guide story to share?
