Default Trust the Gov.?

Folks, do you beleive most of what we hear from the gov and the talking heads on t.v.? I for the most part do not beleive most of what I hear, as I know the Gov always will practice CYA first, and that all Politicians are liars, they have to be to get the job in the first place. Hope I dont offend any suits out there, honest question.

I tend to believe that most of the stuff is relatively true, as far as it goes. It would be expensive to fake that much videotape. Not impossible, but difficult and expensive. I think the largest amount of deception is through omission, through what we don't hear, and through how what we do hear is selectively presented.

Politicians may well have a loose grasp of the truth, but I think they realize as most of us do, that if you stretch the truth too often or too much, you get caught. This keeps them somewhat in line.

And, as a 'suit' I'm not offended at all.
