Default Canning rhubarb

Looking for some help on this one. I've got a friend who is a full-time missionary in Mexico. He is coming up to visit in a couple weeks, and asked that I can some rhubarb for him. I have never cooked fresh rhubarb, much less canned it. Any pointers? Recipes?

I saw that site, and thought it was really close to what I wanted - a rhubarb sauce a little on the sweet side. The one drawback is that she used honey, and I would prefer to use sugar. I know up to a certain point in recipes, you can exchange sugar for honey 1:1, but I don't know if that is the case in canning.
