Default Grilled Prawns at Bay City

You guys gotta try the grilled prawns at Pacific Seafood in Bay City...you know the big oyster shell pile along 101. For $11.95 you get six huge prawns that are freshly peeled and grilled, sauteed or breaded! We went to the beach today for my wifes birthday.Top it off with an oyster shooter What's really cool is she only ate four of her prawns
Really good seafood at this place

Thanks for the heads up. I've driven by there a ba-jillion times and have never stopped. Sounds like I better give it a try!

I have to say the best prawns I've ever had were down in Mexico. They were very large Jumbo prawns, partially split length-wise, with cheddar cheese put into the cut, then wrapped in bacon and grilled.

I tried cooking the same thing myself with fresh Jumbo prawns from Seattle, but mine didn't taste nearly as good.

I think I'll try your recommendation instead.

If this is the place out on the pier at Bay City, then here's another eye opener. Not only do they have great oysters and now shrimp, but when we were down there a couple of times last summer they had a very good fresh fish market going on. Seemed to be a great selection of fresh fish covered in lots of ice. The quality looked good. Eyes were clear and bight, gills dark red, and no fishy odors. They had various bottom fish, halibut, salmon, tuna, ling cod some other species I can't recall and even some awsome looking crawfish for all y'all Cajun mud bug lovers. I think those came from Billy Chinook, but they sure looked good! Hope they're open again this year! Good place to avoid the dreaded "Skunk"!!

I don't know about the 11.95 for 6 prawns.....sounds too pricey for my budget. But I do know the fresh fish is very good. Pacific has their own website with locations listed...... Pac Seafood Locations

Stew,
Not only are their oysters good, I tried their Clam Chowder and I really truely think it is better than Mo's. Last year they alos had Octopus for sale. great for Sushi, but ,That's some great Halibut Candy. I've also noticed alot of their Oyasters in the Half gallons are from Willipa Bay. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm. Tight Lines. Tom

Gawd! That sounds so good! In a few weeks, my cousin's wife and I are driving to Brookings, so I will put that on our list of places to stop at.
