my fish story
 :depressed:  This is probably not your typical fish story but here ya go.Were going to garibaldi for salmon {south jetty}.Pops is late as usual but you don't hurry your elders right. We finally get down there, launch the boat, pops goes for bait I park the truck return to the dock to find popses son out waiting off the dock with his hand up wheres pops,I run back up to see whats going on, here he is with a group of elderly men leaned up against the wall telling fish stories.I say pops come on man we need to get out there its fishin time.He tells me to cool my jets young man those fish aren't going any where {you don't hurry your elders right} well we get back to the boat sonnie boy comes in to pick us up I help pops into the boat by now me and sonnie are in a big yank to get going.I,am standing there ready to get in and this large man walks onto the dock he steps on the right edge a pitches me into the drink in between the boat and dock.I rip my back open on a sharp object of some kind and i'am soaked to the neck,no dry clothes nothing. I,am thinking maybe we should load up and get the heck ouy of there before someone has a chance to remember our faces.Any how we get out to the jetty an start fishing ah now everthing is comming together ten min.into the first pass my rod folds fish on!! pops is feedind the fish over the side of the boat{he gets sick every tim but loves to fish and spend time with his son}Oh back to the fish nice native silver #15 to #17 we realease it and go back to fishing.Next pass pops rod gets hammered fish on!!! pops is asleep dosent wake up large chinook on top of water just rippin line off pops wake up dang it, what he says? fish fish!! oh he fights and lands a #35 pounder an goes back to sleep were thinkig something is not right. We finish the day with soom pride left after all. That was last oct.He passed away this morning at 5:00 am. That will be my memory of him forever. You just don't know how much you love someone until they are gone.THANK GOD FOR FATHERS,CHILDREN & LIFE LONG FRIENDS.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY FISHING PARTNER AND FRIEND MAY THE WATERS ABOVE PLEASE YOU GREATLY.
LOVE SCOTT
