That is called a "prop strike" and is what happens when an running aircraft gets away from you in a hanger and comes too close to its neighbor.

Spiral sliced ham? or slightly thrashed airplane.
Notice that the boat 'Temporary Insanity II' is actually tied to the post. Like wrapping a boat around the post does not like totally secure it to the post. Also notice the missing barnacles on the post. Do you suppose they were removed by the airborne pilot as he launched over the windshield?

Stryker, I'm not certain where that first photo was taken. A friend sent me these 4 photos in a group so there's no telling the point of origin on any of them.
Can't imagine the operator of "Temporary Insanity II" surviving an impact like this. Boat should probably be renamed "Dumba$$". :grin:
Makes one wonder, and good cause for concern while out on the water - you never know what kind of idiot is out there on the same water. One reason I don't particularly like to be out on the water at night, or in the fog.
