Who says Oregon has a budget problem?

We still have money for a Sky Tram. Glad our kids agreed to be stupified so that the folks at OHSU dont have to fight all that traffic.

Is this a State project?

From reading the article all I saw was reference to the city of Portland.

I would be curious to know if they are planning on state dollars for this.

Who knows. Even if its city money, its still the Portland School Dist. that is cutting the school year short. Seems like the tram money would be better spent to cover for the state shortfalls.

Oh, ok...... your heading says Oregon so I was wondering.

I agree, the money could likely be spent better on other things however that is one of the problems I run into a lot. People have to understand (right or wrong) that those budget dollars aren't able to be moved around like that and each entity is very protective of it's budget.

The big picture becomes more cloudy when we make statements like "Who says Oregon has a budget problem?" when in fact you aren't talking about Oregon State budget dollars.

Something we have to deal with a lot working on our school's budget.
