Default 2 teenagers trying to find bass on tualatin

Me and my buddy have been getting into bass fishing like crazy lately, but havent really been to many places, we just stick to some local ponds and a couple lakes because we are so busy with basketball.

we are heading to tualatin high school tomorow for a 7:30 game and would really like to try the tualitin river for some bass right after school gets out. ive been reading around and it seems like there are some solid bass in there, what works best? we love the senko! haha would that work?
also where would be a good spot to try and fish along the bank? is there an easy acces place off of OR-217?or I-5 south?(just the roads i will be traveling on). maybe im totally wrong and the river is not even nearby? I know its a late post but any info would help! thanks!

Look up the drop-shot method -- It's very effective from the bank in my opinion.

Senko's surely will and do catch fish, but be aware of other lures too. Coming to this forum is definitely a start, and we'd all love to hear how you guys do while fishing tomorrow. (pictures are a plus)

As a bank fisherman myself, and this is in my personal opinion, I'd stick more to plastics and maybe spinners than crank baits. Crank baits are spendy, and since you'll be reeling in opposite of the angle of the shore you'll more than likely get hung up quite often. This advice is especially true during these months when the moss and gunk starts to build up in the bass waters.

Good luck.

Broy - there is a city park in Tualatin about a mile and half/two miles north of Tual High School - it's right on the corner of Tualatin Rd and Boones Ferry Rd. There's a small boat ramp (no dock) and a train trestle, locks of rocky structure. Good smallmouth hole.

There is also Cook Park in Tigard, which is at the dead end of SW 92nd in Tigard (it runs along side of Tigard HS off Durham Rd). There's a dock and boat ramp, and stretch of bank access.

Then up the road a block from Hazelbrook Middle School is a pull off on Hazelbrook Rd right before it meets up with Hwy 99 that has a walking path that goes right down to the water beneath the overpass of Hwy 99. Another rocky structure place - another good smallie hole.

One other place you could try - Browns Ferry Park in Tualatin off Nyberg Rd, to the east of I-5 (if going south on I-5, turn left, and then @ the light by the 7-11, turn left onto Nyberg Rd, go past the apartments on the left, about a block, and the park is on your left hand side. Walk past the restrooms toward the trees. There's a fishing dock down there, shady spot, with some timber to try. Good for both smallies and largemouth (some live right under that dock).

Good luck. And take some spinners in case your senkos don't work. In-lines like rooster tails, blue fox, or bang tails work great in those spots.
