Default two days of fishing a private pond

i fished a secret lake today with a buddy of mine that knows a guy that lives close to it. you have to walk 10 minutes through the woods to get there then the only way to fish is to bring waders, one pole and a minimal of tackle.
we get there at about 5 or so, and the sun was bright and hot with blue bird skys. not my favorite conditions by any means. lots and lots of weeds in this lake and a TON of bluegills. we were using senkos since they are the best choice for this amount of weeds. we both went about 45 minutes with nothing and he was a bit dissapointed the fish werent biting, i told him no they are just doing something different than they were yesterday for him. he was hitting good fish yesterday on the floating weed beds, today they were in the reeds in 3 to 5 feet of water. as soon as i found were they were it was nonstop action for the next few hours. after about the 4th or 5th 3 pounder i stopped taking pics.biggest fish was about 3 and a half to 4 pounds nothing big this time but he says he has caught a 7 out of here and his buddy caught a 10. only about 7 people fish this lake and they mostly go after chrome not green so they are not at this lake very often at all, you can really tell it gets no pressure. cleanest lake i have ever seen and the bass sure do bite. hopefully i will be able to fish this lake some more. i know its a private pond of some sort but they didnt really want to talk about it much. he did say its a rehabilitaion pond. not sure all i know is, it was ALOT of fun out there today.

i tore them up today, one dink under a pound and 6 hogs one of them is on my buddy camera since my phone died. 5 pound bag would have been right around 19 pounds.

Sweet action man. The few private ponds I know of I've been turned down to fish One pond I WAS let to fish once - but turns out the gent who let me fish there was just the son-in-law of the man who REALLY owned it. 2nd trip to that pond, the real owner came down very angry, with a big buck knife on his belt and made it absolutely clear we were not supposed to be there, and to GTFO and not come back. That pond was full of 5+ lb trout - the son in law stocked the fish - using 10-12" fish mostly, and it gets almost no pressure. Very nutriet rich, lots of bugs, lots of small baitfish. A few bass, cats, and gillies stocked, but he said 90% of the fish in there were trout. I didn't catch a single trout from that pond that was NOT at least 3lbs.

The other ponds I was never allowed to fish.

I'd love to gain access to some farm ponds local, instead of having to drive to Hagg or one of the streams to do most of my local fishin. I love farm pond bass & gillies, or even farm pond trout.

But I respect the land owners wishes, and have never pressed the issue after the initial "No". If I were a land owner, that's how I'd like myself and my property to be treated.
