Default Wood for smoking

Hi all. Anybody know if any of the local orchards sell pruned or discarded limbs for bbq/smoking purposes? Looking to score some. Thanks!

Be carefull, make sure the wood has never been sprayed with pestisides or herbicides.

Ask your neighbors... I give away a bunch of cherry every spring to my neighbor and my brother for smoking.

I would think you would have no problem finding downed alder trees in the Mt. Hood NF above Sandy. $1.50 a bag is pretty cheap for the Big Chief smoker chips compared to the cost of gas and however you plan to chip up your limbs.

no real need to chip it i just take the skill saw and slice it up 1/4-1/3 inch slices and save the saw dust works good quick to slice up to
