I did, not that it makes any difference. I never watch them anyway. But it did give me an opportunity to explain to my kids why we are not watching that channel this evening.

Just curious, why boycott the Academy Awards?

Understand that I don't watch them, simply because it doesn't matter to me what Hollywood thinks was the best _________________ last year, as it's up to me to make my own decisions. I don't pay much attention to who was the best pipe-fitter of 2002, either.

I didn't boycott the awards so much as I just didn't have an interest in watching them this year. There are a LOT MORE IMPORTANT things going on in the world at the moment. Watching a bunch of pathetic overpaid self important primadonas saunter up on stage to accept awards that people in Hollywood are so eager to bestow upon themselves isn't worthy of my time.

I used to enjoy going to the movies. But these days, the cost of movies keeps going up and once inside, it'll cost you even more than the ticket price to buy popcorn and a soda. For what? To feed the inflated egos of Hollywoods finest so they can find yet more ways to honor themselves with the ever increasing numbers of award ceremonies and award categories?

It's bad enough that they feel so damn self important that they continue to look for ways to inflate their pathetic egos. But to then feel that their award ceremonies are an appropriate forum for them to stand up and preach to the world that they know the answers to the worlds problems? Give me a break! They are a bunch of overpaid pieces of *********** in the grand scheme of things.

That's my .02 and I'm sticking to it. No I didn't watch the awards! END OF RANT.

A big high 5 to Skirmmy my feelings exactly but then I feel the same towards the over paid ball players that are suposed to be role models but instead do drugs repetitly or go to jail for drunk driving or even commit murders, there all P O S in my book.

Take your kid hunting or fishing so you don't have to hunt for your kids.

A true family roll model like him or not he has not done drugs and is 100% family is TED NUGENT
