Default Columbia this week - Advise?

Headed out for my first Spingers fishing this weekend and I sure could use some advise. All of my experience has been fall chinooks.

Never fished the Columbia - heard good things about St. Helens area but open to any good spots as well as best spot to put boat in.

Anchor or Troll?

Thanks

If you're coming from Mac and want to fish out around St. Helens here's a few spots to try (boat ramps) St. Helens City ramp downtown-columbia and channel
Rainier-Columbia river
Fred's Marina off of Hwy 30 for willamette/channel fishing

Wait another month, and instead go fish for steelhead. It's still a little early for the springers.

Use kwikfish on anchor. Best bet is to do a search on springers.

good luck

Specifically, do a search on "springer techniques" Many post thread, with pics, on the very subject
