Re: digital cameras
I personally love my wife's Cannon A40 and if you time it right you can get it for under 200 with an extra 128 meg memory card.

Re: digital cameras
I have the Nikon Coolpix 2000. I got it for Christmas, but I think it was right around 200 bones. Sweet pictures come out of it.
This is from Friday, it has been compressed so it is much more grainy than the final product that comes out of the camera.
I would definately recommend this camera to anyone. Good luck

Re: digital cameras
The Canon S-30 is a great camera. We've had ours for 10 months and just love it, easy to use and takes great pics.

Re: digital cameras
Nikon Coolpix. Lots of good ones out there. For taking fishing type snapshots 2 Megapixil is really all you need. Anything larger become quite a large file to try and send around on the internet. Good Luck, Fish On

Re: digital cameras
Quick Fisher,
if you are just going to take pics to save on pc or send via email/internet then you only need about a 1 megapixel camera. If you want to print a good 5x7 or fairly good 8x10 then you need 2 megapixel. Both Nikon and Canon make very good cameras under 200 that would do you just fine if thats what you want.

Check these sites out:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/
http://www.dpreview.com/
I've got my eyes set on a Minolta Dimage 7i. Gonna cost me about $700 or so, not one I'd take fishing though. I'll take my cheapy 1 megapixel HP fishing then, lol.
