Default Wedding Photographer

I am in the hunt for a wedding photogrpaher for September 6th of this year.
Not a whole bunch of luck searching around, feel like I am just wandering.
If you are a wedding photographer or know someone who is a wedding photographer or just wants to give me some advice (and not the "don't get married" or the "just go to vegas" routine) please drop me a line, any info is appreciated.

We were pleased with her pricing as well as her pictures.

I'm not allowed to send private messages, so ...

I don't know any pro photographers (and you will want one) - but your best pix will come from "unofficial" photographers. My brother-in-law (well his bride, of course) did a cool thing at their wedding rehearsal and reception, they bought a bunch of those disposable cameras and just left them on the tables and invited everyone to shoot pictures.

Just an idea. Good luck!

Photo memories by Harvey, lives right down the street from me here in Aloha. Don't have the number but I jog by his place every afternoon and could get it for ya if you want. He did excellent work on ours, came to the reception too, however he might be a bit pricier than most. Drop me an e-mail if you want more info.

I got married last summer and we used "Brides Choice" it is a husband wife team and they were great to work with and really nice people. Another bonus was that we got to lay out our album with the pictures, mats and flow however we liked. The number is 1-800-362-8796. E-mail me if you want more info mjgetch@msn.com

Just found their website Brides Choice Go to the picture gallery and in the black and white 1, the main picture(angled in front of church) is my wife and I. I just found this today we didn't know it was there.

We also did the disposable camera thing and it was a lot of fun. Have some great shots. Would recomend it. You end up with a lot of difereant stuff also  watch out for your drunk friends.

Firedog, you're right about drunk friends with camera's at weddings.

Someone from work got married a couple years ago and left camreras at each table....imagine the bride's mother's surprise when she took the film in to be developed and found that a bunch of the guys decided to play a game of "lets see if you can guess who this is" by using "selective" photography.

Slow Roll,

I have a photograpy studio in Portland and perhaps can give you some guidelines.

There are really only two things you need to know about wedding photography.

1.) Is the person who is taking your the photographs an expert at wedding photography, implying, experience, quality equipment, back-up equipment, and are they socially savy?

2.) Do you get along well with them, same ideas, comfortable feeling, you know, good fit, a friend?

Of all the items you both buy for your wedding only the photography will appreciate in value as time passes. An experienced photographer works quickly and makes things easy in an unobtrusive way. A Good photographer can really help to make the day memorable.

I would be happy to tell you how help your photographer get the images you want. A few simple things that you do can make a great difference.

You can call me @ 503-224-4410

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Good advice. There will only be time for one shot on many of the pictures and a professional will know what you are going to want for photography. My wife does this for a living but she won't drive up. Good luck.
